The Game Awards 2025 ya tiene a su lista de nominados para la ceremonia que mueve la industria gaming celebrando la excelencia dentro de este arte tecnológico. Las nominaciones fueron reveladas este lunes anunciando una nueva y ambiciosa propiedad intelectual que desafía la hegemonía de las grandes franquicias como la gran sorpresa y el fenómeno sleeper de la temporada «Clair Obscur: Expedition 33».

El título desarrollado por Sandfall Interactive hizo historia, acumulando 12 nominaciones, estableciendo un nuevo récord como el juego más nominado en los once años de existencia de los premios. Entre las categorías a las que compite estan: Mejor dirección Artística, Mejor Banda Sonora, Mejor Diseño de Sonido, Mejor Narrativa, Mejor Juego Independiente y Mejor Debut Independiente.

La importancia cultural del videojuego trasciende la consola, algo que subraya la categoría Mejor Adaptación. Este año, la lista de nominados incluye «A Minecraft Movie», «Devil May Cry», la segunda temporada de «The Last of Us», «Splinter Cell: Deathwatch» y «Until Dawn».

Sony Interactive Entertainment lidera la tabla de publishers con un total de 19 nominaciones, demostrando una fuerte presencia a lo largo de las categorías, incluso si su blockbuster «Ghost of Yōtei» no logró entrar en la lista final del GOTY. El segundo lugar lo ocupa Kepler Interactive con 13 nominaciones, consolidándose como un campeón de la vanguardia, seguido por Electronic Arts y Microsoft, empatados con 10.
